SpoKizomba is a colorful, fun
retreat for Kizomba lovers.
retreat for Kizomba lovers.
This weekend is designed to be easy. Workshops, meals, and socials all happen within walking distance of lodging at the Catterson House. Stay with the fam and get the full experience!
Our workshops are designed to help you grow as a social dancer. Whatever your level, you’ll get hands-on guidance from our instructor who know how to teach, not just show.
SpoKizomba is our love letter to the Kizomba community and we're delighted to welcome you. So, kick off your shoes, grab a drink, and let's make this a weekend to remember!
Miss out on a Full Pass? Get in touch with us at spokanekizombafamily@gmail.com and we'll put you on our waitlist.
Absolutely. Many dancers come solo to events like this and leave with new friends. You don’t need a partner to participate fully. Please join us!
You’ll dance, you’ll learn, and you’ll rest. We’ve built in time between workshops and socials for meals, downtime, and connection so you won’t feel rushed or burnt out. A full schedule will be shared closer to the event!
The workshops are open to a range of experience levels, but they’re not designed for absolute beginners. If you’re newer to Kizomba but have some dance experience and a good attitude, you’ll be supported. If you’ve been dancing for a while, you’ll get depth, technique, and new tools to grow.
SpoKizomba is rooted in the traditional and authentic sounds of Kizomba and Semba. Our DJs will play a rich mix—including Zouk, Ghetto Zouk, Coladeiras, Tarraxinha, and other closely related genres—but if you’re exclusively looking for Urban Kiz, this might not be the right fit.
We know life happens. While we can’t accommodate refunds, we’ll happily help coordinate transfers. Just let us know how we can help!
